Have a car designer show you how to do the wheels (you need to tilt the ellipses more)! Also, you can pick a different view that will make it easier on you, one with a lower camera angle. Finally, use an Alias underlay to help!
Very true Mike. I've always had trouble with ellipses in perspective. Underlays need to happen. I might also try Sketchbook Pro because I know they have some kind of ellipse template feature that you can use.
Sketching ellipses is one of those weird things where even though someone shows you how to do it, and you understand how to construct it, it still doesn't come out of your arm correctly. Hopefully that makes sense. Just keep practicing at it and they'll start to correct themselves.
Also, do try a lower angled view like I was talking about. It'll be easier to draw, plus it will make the bike look pretty cool.
